Articleship openings
Applications are being accepted from CA students who have cleared both groups of CA Intermediate and completed ICITSS.
What do articled assistants work on?
Articled assistants work on live assignments under the supervision of the partners, CA. Kunal Darwani (FCA, DISA) and CA. Reet Darwani (FCA, M.Com). Three areas form a large part of the training:
- Statutory audits – audits of companies under the Companies Act, 2013, from planning and vouching to drafting the audit report and CARO, along with tax audits.
- Bank audits – bank branch statutory audits during the audit season, and stock and internal audits for borrowers.
- Litigation – income tax and GST notices, assessments and appeals: reading the notice, preparing submissions and paper books, and attending hearings with the partners.
Alongside these, articled assistants handle income tax and TDS returns, GST returns and reconciliations, ROC filings for companies and LLPs, and accounting, including work for businesses outside India.
How does the training work day to day?
- End to end: an articled assistant follows an assignment from the client's first documents to the final filing, report or reply, rather than doing one isolated step.
- Working and learning with AI: the firm uses AI tools in research, drafting, reconciliations and audit documentation. Articled assistants learn to use them in day-to-day work, and to check every output against the law and the client's records before it is used.
- Review and feedback: work is reviewed by the partners, so assistants see how a file is corrected and why.
